My Journey with Eczema (Part 1)

Eczema, I struggle with the spelling and now I struggle with the condition.

Eczema is a skin condition that has no known cure. There are various eczema treatments but what works for one person will not necessarily work for another.

What is most distressing is that even though one eczema treatment might work for you during one flare up, it may not work during your next.

Eczema continues to be confusing both to those in the medical field and to those of us who suffer. I can’t count the number of doctors I have been to since my first outbreak, with little success.

I began my journey with eczema about 2 years ago after migrating to a new country.

My hairdresser said to me, “it is going to be a long journey.” Her daughter suffers from eczema since childhood.

Like most people who do not suffer with this condition, I never thought about it before my journey started.

But now this is all I think of, it impacts my life,….my social life, my job, my diet….my LIFE.
